  • The gymnasium roof leaks, resulting in damage to
    the interior structure and safety hazards that
    put students/staff at risk. Skylights and
    several window panes need replacement.

  • The gymnasium has no air-conditioning and some
    heater fans are not functional, creating problems
    in maintaining comfortable temperature levels.

  • The eaves of the cafeteria building need
    replacement because the wood is rotting, and the
    eaves of the two mobile classrooms need painting.
  • Tile and plumbing fixtures need to be replaced in
    seven restrooms in the cafeteria building and in
    one area of the kitchen floor.

  • A larger walk-in freezer is needed in the
    kitchen.
  • Indoor/outdoor carpet is needed on the walkway
    ramps to the two mobile classrooms to increase
    safety, particularly in inclement weather.

  • All teachers and teaching assistants are highly
    qualified.

    students.
  • The HOSTS volunteer program and GALLOP reading
    program serve at-risk students.
  • Students in these programs gain an average of 10
    developmental points per year.
