Procedure
  • We selected to play 4 different selections.
  • Pop-Rap-Classical-Control(silence)
  • We made a group of 10 numbers for each type of
    music.
  • Each subject listened to each song for 40
    seconds. During that time they were expected to
    memorize as much of the list as they could, in
    order.

Hypothesis
  • The goal of the study is to determine whether the
    subjects will accurately memorize the lists
    better with light background music.

Conclusions
  • The averages with music were higher than without
    music.
  • Pop music had the highest average.
  • A t-test found that there was no significant
    difference between the averages.
