Title: Hello
1(No Transcript)
2Hello Welcome to the award winning Lancashire
Road Safety Group. We work in partnership with
many local and national organisations to improve
road safety with the aim of reducing casualties.
Through publicity, education and training, we
help to keep everyone safer on the roads, but we
need you to help us We love sharing almost as
much as we love learning. In recent years we
have shared our best practice and research by
visiting and hosting colleagues from not only the
UK but across Europe. Our aim is to make
Lancashire a safer place to walk, cycle, ride and
drive.
3Publicity We use a variety of ways to promote
road safety around Lancashire. Keep your eyes
peeled for updates on our website, in papers,
magazines and in the leaflets we produce. You
might also spot our events team at various places
around Lancashire. Education We work together
with schools, colleges, pre-school carers, health
visitors and parents to help keep young people
safe on the roads. To make things easier for you
we provide lots of useful educational resources
and training programmes. We also have a dedicated
School Crossing Patrol team who cross our
children daily to and from school in safety.
Training We provide many theory and practical
courses to improve/refresh your skills. We work
with Advanced Driving Instructors who deliver our
courses, and we help local businesses keep
themselves and their employees safe.
4Our People People are our greatest asset. We are
a very dedicated team of people who work together
to make Lancashire a place where people can
travel easily and safely. We rely heavily on
volunteers who kindly dedicate time to deliver
practical pedestrian and cycling training
programmes to school children across the county.
We work with many Approved Driving Instructors
(ADIs) who are trained to the highest standards
to deliver our driver and rider training and
improvement courses. Our School Crossing Patrol
staff are valued members of their school
community and provide a valuable and dedicated
service. Working together we have been
recognised for some great achievements.

7- How you can help
- You dont have to make big changes to help us
Make the Difference. You could start by
following these small steps to help make a big
difference on our roads - Smile at someone and they might pass it on
- Thank everybody who is kind to you
- Give someone a lift
- Leave your car at home and stroll down to the
local shops - Let someone out in front of you
- If you get stuck in traffic dont get angry
because its not going to get you anywhere any
faster just relax and chill out - Get up a few minutes earlier in the morning so
youre not rushing to an important meeting or
trying to get the children to school
