How do we develop?

• I have a unique advantage in life..I can see my
  name on a tombstone. The writer of said it is
  better to go to the house of mourning than to go
  to the house of feasting, for this is the end of
  all men, and the living shall lay it to their
  heart. My grandfather is buried in Point Loma
  Military cemetery in San Diego
• He was not a nice man
• June 6th, 1918 10 long hours

• Enlisted U.S. Marines April 11th 1917
• Life altered forever on June 6th 1918
• Battle of Belleau Wood
• Hospitalized in France for 3 years
• Returned to U.S. September of 1920

• Arguably, this was the most catastrophic day in
  Marine Corps history to this date.
• On this day, the Marine Brigade suffered the
  worst single day's casualties in USMC history
  with 1087 men killed or wounded.
