Kentuckys 2004 Occupant Protection Challenges
  • 66 2004 Safety belt use rate for Kentucky
  • Of the 527 Occupants killed, 66.5 were
    unbelted

Kentuckys 2004 Alcohol Challenges
  • 308 Fatalities were alcohol related
  • 225 (73.1) Drivers with a .08 BAC or
  • higher were involved in fatal crashes
  • 169 Drivers with a .08 BAC or higher
  • were killed

  • Assemble partners to develop goals, objectives,
  • strategies and countermeasures
  • Using PIE, inform the public of your plan to
  • address these crash problems
  • Develop enforcement strategies and corridors
  • Notify the public of results of enforcement
    activities
