• Texture in art is how something feels or how it
  looks like it would feel
• Texture in music refers to layers of different
  sounds
• Think of texture as a sandwich. Some sandwiches
  have few layers (just ham and bread) and some
  have lots (ham, bread, cheese, mustard, lettuce,
  mayo, tomato)
• Texture in music can be thick or thin
• Monophonic one sound
• Polyphonic - many sounds
