    and identify how to make healthy

  • understand the risks associated with gambling.
  • understand the different types of gamblers.
  • recognize signs of problem and compulsive
    gambling.
  • know when and how to get help for a gambling
    problem.
  • assess their own level of risk and set guidelines
    that will help them avoid gambling.
  • synthesize information to create a gambling
    awareness campaign for peers.

What is It?
  • This behavior causes problems for adults and
    teens
  • The number of teens who have a serious problem
    with this behavior is increasing.
  • The rate of teens who have problems with this
    behavior is more than twice the rate for adults.
  • Young people who have more problems staying out
    of trouble with parents, school personnel and the
    la. They also destroy relationships with friends
    and family, and their school performance
    deteriorates.
  • Winning at this behavior depends mostly on
    chance.
