History
  • Comic Relief was launched from the Safawa refuge
    camp in Sudan on Christmas day in 1985, in
    response to the crippling famine in Africa.
  • Aimed to use comedy and laughter to raise money
    and change lives.
  • Inspire those who hadnt previously been
    interested in charity to get involved.

Red Nose and beyond
  • 11 Red Nose Days so far
  • The first raised 16 million
  • Most recent in March 2007 raised 67 million
  • Sport Relief launched in 2002 to harness the
    power of sport
  • Total raised so far 490 Million
