Requirements...

• File formats we can not afford to impose
  mandatory formats (PDF, MS-Word, Postscript,
  HTML, etc.)!
• Access and preservation ETDs at BN have to be
• organized as websites for storage in the BND
  access space (HTML home page with links to one or
  more files...).
• decomposed and described in METS structures for
  storage in the BND preservation space.
• Dissemination and Interoperability
• BN will provide OPAC, Z39.50 server, OAI-PMH
  server, RSS channels, etc.
• BN as national interface for international
  initiatives (NDLTD, TEL, etc.)
