RE-FORMING KU-SIFE SIFE was launched in KU in
1999 and was dormant for nearly 2 years between
the Spring of 2002 and March of 2004. We have
re-launched SIFE at KU!

Mission Statement It is the mission of KU SIFE
to integrate students, individuals, and
businesses in free enterprise through
commerce-building relationships by helping to
maximize the potential of each and every person
in this free enterprise economy.

KU - SIFE GOAL 1 Facilitates Success KU SIFE is
dedicated to the mutual success of the students,
individuals, businesses or organizations that
participate in or are impacted by the program. KU
SIFE creates win / win relationships.

KU - SIFE GOAL 2 Student Directed KU SIFE is
driven by the KU students that participate in the
program. Students will have the ability to shape
and mold the program into what they choose it to
be. Leadership comes from students. Advisors and
SIFE national are to be used as important
resources, not as the driving forces in the
organization.

KU - SIFE GOAL 3 Skills Development The KU SIFE
program provides students an opportunity to
develop skills, particularly soft skills, such
as leadership, teamwork, and communication. These
soft skills greatly complement classroom skills
to enhance the breadth of talent developed during
their college experience.

KU - SIFE GOAL 4 Program Longevity KU SIFE
should be designed for strong continuity year to
year. A focus will be placed on not only building
for the current year, but putting systems and
programs in place for upcoming years. It should
be viewed that KU SIFE should be larger than
any one person, student or advisor, and has
procedures in place to promote this longevity.

KU - SIFE GOAL 5 Enhanced by Diversity The
more diverse the students that participate in KU
SIFE, the stronger the program. The organization
will place an emphasis on recruiting members from
different fields of study, nationality, gender,
race, age / class, and life experience. This
diversity enhances the SIFE experience.
