and history of the earth. They try to find out
how rocks were formed and what happened to them
since formation. They also study the evolution of
life.

Geologists conduct researchs to extend knowledge
of surface and subsurface features of the earth,
its history and the physical, chemical, and
biological systems that control its evolution.
They work a average of 45 hours .

large areas on foot. They work long hours and it
