Power Portal-Goal 1
  • Goal 1 To create a web based portal
    incorporating the Power Library Model in order to
    provide information and services to parents,
    students and staff.

  • Web Page software was delayed in development by
    outside contractor
  • Web Page training is ongoing
  • MARTEC is assisting in evaluation
  • Funded a wireless laptop unit and additional
    classroom projection systems

Townsend/Seaford Collaboration
  • Mutual Support Agreement signed by both
    principals.
  • Media Specialists met eight times throughout the
    first year of the grant.
  • Seaford Middle School could not use district
    professional development days for technology
    support by Townsend staff due to district wide
    conflicts.

  • Goal 3 By the end of the grant, the 8th grade
    Delaware Student Testing Program test scores will
    show a 5 increase in the percentage of students
    meeting or exceeding state standards in reading
    and writing and a 5 increase in the 6th and 7th
    grade reading (scale score) and writing (raw
    score) results.
