TRS Description

• Centralized repository containing detailed and
  summarized records of all revenue collection
  transactions processed by FMS systems
• Provide access to near-current and historical
  financial data
• Provide for statistical analyses of financial
  data
• Store transaction data at the atomic level
• Store and report summarizations of atomic data
• Governmentwide financial information transaction
  portal for all collections activity

• A single touch point for the exchange of all
  financial transaction information across all
  collection systems
• A single, consolidated, daily report of all
  revenue activity across all collection systems
• Inquiries and report generation, based on user
  provided selection criteria and/or standardized
  filters, throughout the business day
• Statistical and analytical reporting (i.e.,
  Business Intelligence) on the financial aspects
  of all collections activity
• Data transfers or downloads in standard formats
  to enable you to further manipulate the
  information on in-house systems

  reducing annual collection costs.

  forecasting leading to potential reduction in
  required cash reserves.
• A seamless interface with the Governmentwide
  Accounting Reporting (GWA) system.

Deposit Reporting Other CAHLINK II Functions

• With the next release of TRS, source
  systems/trading partners will continue to send
  summary deposit reporting to CAHLINK II for
  processing.
• In March 2008, TRS will begin taking over
  portions of the deposit reporting, eventually
  replacing some CAHLINK II functionality.
• TRS will accommodate or derive account
  classification information to facilitate central
  accounting reporting requirements (TAS/BETC)
  codes.
• TRS will not settle transactions or process
  adjustments.
• TRS will play a future role in cash
  concentration.
• TRS will eventually provide input into at least
  the receipts side of the cash forecasting
  function.
