• Provide listing of outsourcing resources
• Best Practice Debate Streams
• Perhaps use the Point/Counterpoint example from
  IEEE Software magazine, starting a debate with
  two experts, then having community users continue
  the debate, perhaps followed up by an expert
  summary and running box score
• Zagat-style Conference Review
• Have user-fed rating of software conferences
• Article Discussion Forum
• Have discussions around articles written by SE
  Portal volunteers or borrowed from IEEE Software
• Expert Available
• Have a feature where community members can come
  to the portal for expert advice

• Important to get customer characterization
• Ty will periodically provide user data, and we
  will look into surveys and other methods for
  describing our user community
• Google keywords
• Need to have an organized effort to use Google
  keywords to bring SE Portal high on Google
  searches. Bill can provide guidance
• SE Portal visibility
• Should make efforts to increase visibility of SE
  Portal within IEEE and Computer Society Web sites
  and publications
• Amazon-like books treatment
• Suggested using Amazon model of having brief
  description of book, also user reviews and lists
  of other books by readers
• Linkable version of SWEBOK
• Ty will contact Jim Moore to see if thats a
  possibility
