Two specialist companies
  • HILO-TESTstarted business in 1978 and offers an
extensive range of high-voltage test and
    measurement equipment portfolio.HILO-TEST is a
pioneer in the EMC market. The CAR-TESTER was
    launchd in 2000.
  • SpitzenbergerSpiesoffers the most extensive
Supply Simulation System portfolio in the
world. The PASXXXX/GN/KFZ family was launcht in
    1999.

The marketplace
  • Vehicle-Manufacturer
  • OEM-Manufacturerfor automotive electronics
  • Engineeringcompanys

4
The response
  • Compact Systems
  • Low power 20 ALowest test cost
  • High power up to 200 AHighest test quality and
    efficiency

Transients inautomotive power systems
  • Test pulse 1This test pulse is a simulation of
transient due to supply disconection from
inductive loads as used in the vehicle, it
remains connected directly in parallel with an
    inductive load.Negative pulse 1/2000µs.

Transients inautomotive power systems
  • Test pulse 2This test pulse is a simulation of
transients due to sdden interruption of current
in an inductor connected in series with a divice
under test.It simulates transients wich may for
example occur due to the following after the
ignition is switched off, dc motors, wich are
connected to the same swith as the ignition, may
continue rotating due to their inertia, thus
acting as generators. Their inductance creates a
transient on swithing off the supply
    line.Positive pulse 1/50µs

Transients inautomotive power systems
  • Test pulse 3These test pulses are a simulation
of transients, witch occur as a result of the
switching processes. The characteristics of these
    transients ar influenced by distributed
capacitance and inductance of the wiring
harness.Positive and negative Bursts 5/100 ns

Transients inautomotive power systems
  • Test pulse 6This test pulse is a simulation of
transient at the moment of current interuption in
the ignition coil.Negative pulse 60/300 µs
