Electronic Resources
  • Internet access.
  • Ebrary database a link to electronic books
    (eBooks) from some of the computers in the
    library.
  • Over 14,000 eBooks in the NetLibrary database
    link from the catalog or link from Galileo.

Accessing eBooks
  • Go to the library catalog and search for the
    book you need e.g. PowerPoint.
  • Do you see computer file or electronic
    resource beside the title? If yes, click on the
    title.
  • Scroll down to Linked Resources and click on the
    highlighted area.
  • Select Create a free account and follow the
    instructions. You can only access eBooks from
    your home computer after you have created an
    account from a computer at Waycross College.
  • Log in, view, or check out eBooks from any
    computer with Internet access. You can print
    pages from an eBook.

  • You can select a general subject area such as
    Science and Technology then browse a specific
    subject area, for example Computer Science, for
    articles.

  • You can locate a list of databases organized from
    A through Z.
  • You can enter the name of a specific database to
    search for articles.

  • You need to create an account from a computer on
    campus.

  • You can locate a list of journal titles organized
    from A through Z.
  • You can also search for a cited article.

  • Search multiple databases at one time.
  • Check the boxes for full text and peer reviewed
    articles.

Galileo Password
  • You will need a password to access Galileo from
    your home computer.
  • Click on Get Galileo Password and follow the
    instructions. The password changes every semester.

  • Bring your current Waycross College ID to the
    Circulation Desk. Your institution ID will be
    entered in our computer system and your ID will
    become your library card.

On-line Renewal
  • Go to the library catalog and click on Renew
    books online.
  • Type in your barcode on your student ID.
  • Type in your last name to login.
  • Check the boxes beside the book titles that you
    want to renew, before they reach overdue status.
  • Click the renew button.

Fees
  • Overdue items
  • Books are 20 cents per day per item
  • Audiovisuals are 50 cents per day per item
  • Reserve materials are 1.00 per day per item.
  • Lost and Damaged items
  • - 50.00 replacement cost plus 5.00
    processing fee and any overdue fees incurred.

  • Search the universal catalog for books from other
    libraries within the University System of Georgia
    and request them yourself.
  • Have access to over 6 million books.
  • Look under Services on the library homepage to
    link to the universal catalog

Monitor your account
  • Click on Check My Requests.
  • Check if your Gil Express book request has been
    filled.
  • Check the due dates for books borrowed from Gil
    Express as well as from the Waycross College
    library.
  • Check if you have accrued any fines.

    nearby states.
  • Look under Services on the librarys homepage
    to access the interlibrary loan form .
