• PKI Public Key Infrastructure
• Digital Certificate with Public and Private Key
  Pair issued by trusted Certificate Authority (CA)
  to individual
• Used for Authentication and Encryption
• Required to access ONR Portals

Certificate Process

• Select CA (ORC or VeriSign)
• 90-115
• 2 to 4 week turn-around
• Complete form, sign in presence of Notary
• VeriSign may allow institution to verify PKI
  certificates reducing turn-around
