  build industry competitiveness in all sectors,
  including manufacturing, resources, small
  business and tourism

  more than 30 programs

Renewable Energy Development Initiative (REDI)

• no turnover limit

Commercialising Emerging Technologies(COMET)

• supports early-growth stage and spin off
  companies to successfully commercialise their
  innovations
• a tailored package of support is provided in the
  form of business advice and assistance in raising
  finance

RD Tax Concession

• Entitlement program, supporting 6.5 billion of
  research and development 5,830 companies in
  2004/05
• Scaled up tax deductions for the research and
  development standard 125 rate, Premium 175 for
  sustained RD, Tax offset for small business
• RD Plan, annual registration
• Note - extension to RD Tax Premium just
  announced in Industry Statement

Industry Cooperative Innovation Program(ICIP)

• Encourages business-to-business cooperation on
  projects that enhance innovation in an industry
  sector
• One lead applicant, from a consortium
• Current round open for applications, closing 12
  June
