5General Comments on Work in the STAR Facility
- Work Planning
- N.B. All work undergoes Work Planning. Most of
this is whats known as Worker Planned work.
Before you start on a task think about what
youre going to do, how youre going to do it,
what the hazards are, and how youll minimize
these possible Hazards. - As a General rule, Bob or Bill should always
know who will be working in the Facility, and on
what, every week. Please make every effort to
keep us informed. - Safety
- - All work should be performed in compliance
with Safety rules. If there is a conflict between
schedule and Safety, Safety must take precedence
in all cases. - - If anyone is ever in doubt about how to
perform a task, please contact Bob, Bill, or
both. - - In the course of accomplishing your tasks
throughout the Shutdown, if anything becomes
apparent on how we could work safer, please bring
them to Bill or Bobs attention. - - If you see anyone doing something that
appears unsafe, or somehow incorrect, please
bring it to Bob or Bills attention. - Housekeeping
- - In performing work in the STAR Facility please
clean up after yourself at the end of each day.
Examples are picking up cable tie remnants, paper
from Label makers, misc. litter that results
from your work.
