13- Summary Comments
- Screw connections have not been modeled except
where indicating a design feature. - The Assembly shown in these slides must be
fitted to the Pan-Starrs Telescope. This is an
outstanding design task - The purchased components have been labeled and
should be ordered as soon as the design has
reached final stage (prior to detailing) - I suggest ordering duplicates for the Drive Belt
24GCF-260-E (Vendor W.M.Berg Inc) - Consult with Ken Chambers about further weight
relieving. Extra Weight may not matter.
(Exception Cone-Wheel) and will speed up time to
market - Any Post-Processing (Paint, anodize etc) will
need to be discussed with Ken - Do not over-tension the Belt,as it will decrease
its life span - The I-DEAS Cad Model is stored in a library
called vern with Project name
