- My thanks to.
- The National Guard Professional Education
Center, our host for the WJTC 04, the 3d year
they have supported this key event - The USJFCOM/JWFC for their support to the
Chairman in conducting the WJTC - Combatant Commands, Combat Support Agencies, the
Services, OSD and the National Guard for
attending and adding their collective wisdom to
improving joint training and readiness - All the officers, enlisted and civilians who
work behind the scenes to make this a world class
training conference - Transformation is now a way of life in DOD
Concepts, Ideas, Processes, Organizations,
Training, Readiness and Programs - I challenge you all to help us transform joint
training to make our Joint Force even better and
more lethal than it is today

- Vision
- Everyone required to conduct military operations
will be trained, under realistic conditions and
to exacting standards, prior to execution of
those operations. People selected for joint
assignments will be trained prior to reaching
their duty location. - Goals

to Combatant Commanders - You will receive Combatant Commands and Combat
Support Agencies top 3-5 joint training issues - You will participate in one of three focused
Breakout Groups the heart and sole of this
WJTC - Breakout Group 1 Joint Training Enablers
- Breakout Group 2 Joint Training Requirements at
the Individual, Staff and Component Level - Breakout Group 1 JFCOM Role as CJCS lead for
Joint Training, the Joint Force Integrator, and
Joint Force Provider - Get to the issues, determine the inhibitors,
enablers, desired capabilities - Develop a Plan of Action and Milestones to
address the issues focus on the How To not
