What It Is, Why You Should Care
  • Class Web is a web-based product replacing Class
    Plus
  • Class Plus is going away as of April, 2003
  • Includes Subject Headings, Subdivisions, and
    Class Schedules
  • Does not include rules well use Catalogers
    Desktop for a while

  • No Stoplist of common words
  • Most punctuation converted to space
  • Colon, hyphen, decimal important
  • Wildcard for one or more characters (art for
    arts, artist, artistic)
  • Wildcard ? for exactly one character (art? for
    arts, not artist, not artistic)

  • Operators AND, OR, NOT
  • citrus and juice lemon or lime
