How does the customer base for Northwood Plaza
compare to other shopping centers or plazas?
- Using 2007 Market Data (from Claritas, Inc.), BDC
compared the demographics of the area around
Northwood Shopping Center to - Belvedere Square
- Mount Washington Mill
- Pikesville
- Reisterstown Road Plaza, and
- The Rotunda.
24In the Marketplace
- The data showed that of those plazas, Northwood
Plaza had -
- The highest rate of homeownership within a 1-mile
radius - The greatest total population within a 1-mile and
3-mile radius - The second highest number of households within
the 1-mile and 3-mile radius, bested only by the
Rotunda - The greatest number of households earning more
than 50,000 per year in the 3-mile radius and - Median household incomes similar to or greater
than both the Rotunda and Reisterstown Road
Plaza.
25In Conclusion Northwood Plazacan, and should,
be much more than it is right now.
