• FOUNDED IN 1992 IN SUNBURY, OHIO
• First started out as Sole Proprietorship
• Worked on sole source code part number awards
  for DSCC from 1992 to 1999 part time on the
  side from full-time job
• Because of a corporate buy-out, lost full-time
  job. Started working full-time on Blue Chip from
  my home with 5 kids at home (2 of my own and 3
  foster babies all under the age of 5!)

• Received first 3 military awards after going
  full-time (Blue Chip was not Hub Zone yet)
• Reversed engineered two NSNs for DSCC to become
  Blue Chips Code and Part Number
• Defense Supply Center Columbus could not procure
  these items for over 4 years because the sole
  source manufacturer went out of business
• Quickly figured out it was too difficult to work
  from my home with 5 kids!!

• Business was moved from our home and into a small
  manufacturing facility in 2000 which was located
  in a Hub Zone
• First introduced to the Hub Zone Program by our
  Small Business Representative at DSCC, we hired
  our first Hub Zone Team Members and became
  certified
• Stayed in this building for 2 years

• Blue Chip received DLAs OUTSTANDING READINESS
  SUPPORT WOMAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS Award. The
  Award was presented by Vice Admiral Lippert in
  Washington DC in 2001
• Award was received for work performed on the
  Bradley Carrier Sprocket and Vehicular Side
  Racks.

the Carrier Sprocket

• Moved the business into a 6,000 square foot
  building in 2003
• Started working on our Hub Zone Set Aside awards
• Within the first 6 months of moving we opened up
  another 6,000 square feet for a total 12,000
  square feet of manufacturing.
• Blue Chip received several additional long-term
  Hub Zone Set Aside awards which enabled us to
  grow even further

• Blue Chip is housed in a 20,000 square foot
  manufacturing facility located in a Hub Zone
• 15 Team Members
• 7 are located in the Hub Zone (46)
• Of the remaining 8, we have
• 1 Veteran that served during the Korean War
• 1 Veteran that served during the Vietnam War
• 1 Veteran that served during the Gulf War
• Tammys mother served for 10 years in the Army
  (Intelligence)
• Steves father was in the Navy during World War
  II

• Blue Chip recently purchased a building located
  in the Hub Zone that will be ready for occupancy
  by the end of the year. Were growing again.
