Features Ive used

• Create single documents with fields retrieved
  from multiple Salesforce objects, including
  custom objects
• Merge with Word templates to file, PDF, or attach
  to email.
• Log text of merge output
• Uses templates from Salesforce repository or
  local/shared drives
• Compatible with most browsers, PCs, Office 2007
  or earlier (Ive used IE and Firefox with Word
  2003).

Other stuff

• We are Enterprise Edition. Conga should work for
  Professional and Unlimited also
• Ive not tried multiple report results but I have
  tried null report results successfully.
• US144 p.a.per user that is required to use the
  app, not simply all salesforce.com active users.
• Using an S-Control to launch Conga Merge provides
  greater scope of reporting relationships.
• Salesforce doesnt allow merge template
  replacement. You must delete and redefine. What
  a pain. If you front-end with an S-Control you
  must redefine it to point to the replacement
  template also if using a fixed template as the
  template ID changes.
• Full functionality 30 Day trial
• Basic functionality untimed licence Only
  marginally more useful than Salesforce
  mail-merge.
• I had some trouble with IF statements which I got
  around with a small VBA macro which basically
  resolves all mail merge logic when the document
  is opened.
