SRPD Purpose Provide users a single tool to
manage and to analyze scientific grant
application data

• System Objectives
• Create an easy to use system with desktop access
  support
• Develop system using standard components (MS
  Office/Outlook)
• Build system that can access data from several
  large
• enterprise databases (IMPACII) located in
  multiple locations
• Build system that is integrated NINDS PC desktop

• Development History
• Total of seven major releases (first release
  March 1997)
• User community of over 130 people (PD, GMB, OD
  etc)
• Migrated to NCI/DCCPS (June 2000) and NIAMS
  (July 2000)

• Manage a portfolio of grants
• Search for grants and PIs according to specified
  criteria
• Retrieve summary statements (as a PDF),
  abstracts NGAs
• Send PI summary statement (as a PDF)
• Generate standard and custom reports
• Search of grants by scientific codes
• Provide detail project history using IRDB
• Generate grant report by state, region, and
  country using IRDB
• Generate progress reports and submit to GMB
• Review funding for different scientific areas
• Export PI e-mail and telephone number to
  Contacts
• Store private notes on an electronic scratchpad
• Compare and analyze grant application detail
