Shortest Field Trip Ever

When I was in junior high, we went to Washington,
D.C., for the end of the year field trip. My
friends and I were so excited on the second day
when we got to go into colonial Williamsburg for
a tour. We explored all morning, never thinking
this could be our last day on the trip

1200 PM
OK!!!
Students, I expect you all to be back here from
your free time promptly at 2 PM. NO exceptions.

Williamsburg Shopping District

Katie, Rosa, and I spent our free time shopping
for gifts for our friends and family back home.

115 PM
Yes! First in line- well totally make it on time!
Colonial Williamsburg BUS STOP
At 115PM, we got in line for the bus to go back
to meet the group.

The bus came at 130, and we started to board
when we heard an angry voice yelling at us.
Who do you girls think you are?! How dare you cut
in front of the line!!!
Another line had formed under the shade of the
tree!!!

140 PM
No matter how hard we tried to fight, we still
got bumped to the end of the line to wait for
another bus.

There goes our ride.

215 PM
We finally got on another bus, not realizing it
was the wrong one!

We dont want to go to the Welcome Center! We
want to go to the Colonial part! Were going to
be SO late and get sent home!!!!
Some of us, like Rosa, obviously did not handle
the situation well.

Fortunately, other passengers were very nice and
helped us get back to our designated meeting
place.
..at 3 PM.
But one of the chaperones, Mary, was there
waiting for us.

We met back up with the group at 315over an
hour late!
I cannot believe you girls! Making us wait an
hour just so you could shop! I am calling your
parents and sending you home!

No matter how hard we tried to explain the
shopping bags, the bus problem, and ourselves, no
one would listen.
We were just a bunch of junior-high girls who
wanted to shop instead of learning with the rest
of the group, as far as Ms. J was concerned.

As you can see, Rosa was right. We were sent
home on the first flight available.
