What is Stereography?

• The word stereo originates from the Greek meaning
  spatial (3D)
• Our eyes view the world from different
  perspectives allowing the creation of
• 3-D images in 2-D planes

AutoStereograms

• Throw out those viewing glasses!
• Autostereograms can be categorized as Random
  Dot Stereograms or Bitmap Patterned
  Stereograms

• Start with a depth map.
• Taking each horizontal line at a time, impose the
  constraints of the pixels.
• Scan the horizontal line, this time filling in
  the unassigned pixel values with random numbers.
• Do this for all horizontal lines.
