The Other Amendments
  • The first 10 amendments, or the Bill of Rights,
    were added to the Constitution in 1791.
  • It was agreed upon by all of the Founding
    Fathers that amendments should be added when
    necessary to make the
  • Constitution a living
  • document that
  • can change as the times
  • change in America.
  • To add an amendment, ¾ of the states or
    Congress must approve it.
  • Only 17 amendments have been added to the
    Constitution since 1791.
