OUR SCHOOL

• Ceska Trebova is a town with 17 000 inhabitans.
• Grammar school Gymnazium has about 360
  students.

THE GLOBE PROGRAM

• We joined the GLOBE program in 1997
• About 30 students from various classes
  participate in the project every year.
• We have weekly morning discussion sessions.
• Students work individually in their free time

MEASUREMENTS
Students carry out daily meteorological
measurements every day during the breaks in the
school garden.

FENOLOGY

• Since 2000 we have been recording budburst in the
  spring and fall of leaves in the autumn. We carry
  out observations in the surroundings of our town.
  We have been inspired by Norwegian project
  Budburst and Estonian project Tere Kevad

USAGE OF DATA

• Students used the meteorological data in their
  research "The use of GLOBE Data in Medical
  Prevention.
• In 2003 they presented their work at the "Globe
  Learning Expedition" world conference in Croatia.

OUR INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION

• Since 1999 we have been cooperation with a
  school in Norwegian Prestfoss in the Sigdal
  valley
• Since 2003 we have been cooperating with the
  Cypriot school in Limassol.
• We worked on the e-LSEE project with Estonia.
• We participated in the Student Exchange Program
  in Bahrain in February 2004.

OUR INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION

• We keep contacts with The Technical school in
  Daruvar in Croatia. We visited with them Croatian
  GLOBE meeting in Varadin in July 2005
• We support education for 5 childern in Rusinga
  Island in Kenya.
• Since GLE 2003 students have been exchanging
  letters with GLOBE students in Cameroon.

CO-OPERATION WITH SLOVAKIA

• We help the Secondary school of chemistry in Svit
  in Slovakia. This school carry out measurements
  despite the fact that Slovakia has not been the
  member of GLOBE yet .

CAMEROON

• We worked together with students from Cameroon at
  the Globe Learning Expedition in Croatia.
• Since then, students have been exchanging letters.

We met the representatives of the school in 1999
and since then we have had four student exchanges.

EXPEDITION SIGDAL 2000

• This was our first visit to The Sigdal
  Ungdomsskole We spent a week in Norwegian
  families and school.
• We worked together on the project The Energy

• During our second stay in Norway, we took part on
  the Norwegiain GLOBE Games in Vang.

BAHRAIN

• We first met students from Bahrain at the Globe
  Learning Expedition conference in Croatia in
  2003.
• In February 2004 eight students joined the
  student exchange program in Bahrain.

• In 2003, we started a partnership with Gymnasium
  Linnopetras in Limassol, Cyprus.
• Students exchange letters. Together, we watch
  sources of water in our surroundings.
• We realised student exchange in the Fall 2004
  and in the May 2005
