Title: WELCOME TO AIESECS INFORMATION SESSION
1WELCOME TO AIESECS INFORMATION SESSION
2AIESEC PAST
- 1930, Scandinavia Out of the shadows of the
Great Depression, AIESEC began as an academic
exchange run by and for students - 1940s, Europe As the world recovered from war
and destruction, AIESEC began to expand in scope
and vision, determined to seek not only academic
learning, but cultural understanding as well
3- It is absolutely necessary to think of the
interests of society. It is regrettable that most
men of State view problems through the lenses of
their political party and hardly see the
international level. We are still students. It
is time for education, not for politics...Many
things must change and will change, but we need
time. While waiting, we must be efficient in
preparing for the future. It is our duty to learn
and be involved in current problems. - Stanislas Callens, 1946
