- Email notification has become a standard
requirement in business processes. With JDE
Connect, you can monitor activities in J.D.
Edwards World on the IBM System i, for example,
and set automatic triggers for pre-formatted,
context sensitive email notices. The obvious
scenario is a shipment notification when an order
is placed, use your imagination and you will be
able to think of many uses for email notices
related to your business activities. For example,
JDE Connect can trigger a thank you message to a

- The Domino component lets you work with the
Domino server. - The Domino component works either in Read or
Write mode. Read mode lets you access items in
the Lotus Notes database and display them. Write
mode lets you add or delete items in the Lotus
Notes database. The Domino component lets you
access the following types of Lotus Notes
databases - Calendar entries
- Email messages
- Contacts
- Document libraries
40Domino Component
- The Domino component can also be used as a
trigger. When you use the Domino component as a
trigger, updates to any of the databases trigger
a flow. For example, you can configure the
Trigger Component to invoke a flow when an email
is sent or created. The Domino component monitors
the specified server until it sees a new email
and then triggers the flow. - You can include as many instances of the Domino
component as required in each flow.

- To be able to use the iBOLT Domino component, you
should make sure that you have Lotus Notes Client
VR5, or above, installed on your machine. You
should also know this information - Notes server name
- Notes database name and password

- Before you use the Domino component, you must do
the following - Enter the complete path of the Notes.jar (for
example, D\lotus\notes\Notes.jar) in the Windows
Environment Variables CLASSPATH. This .jar file
is located in the Lotus Notes clients
installation folder. - Enter the complete path of the Lotus Notes
installation folder in the Windows Environment
Variables PATH.

- The Domino component lets you manage data and
exchange information such as email and personal
calendar entries on a Lotus Notes server, - When you place the Domino component in a flow,
iBOLT opens the Component Properties dialog box
for the component. You should enter the
information in the Component Properties Dialog
Box and determine the type of interface to use.
Click Configuration the following Domino
Component Configuration dialog box and configure
the Domino component.

(see Trigger Configuration for instructions on
