  • SSA does exact search of name, month/year of
    birth and last four
  • Real-time reply sent to MVA via AAMVA

  • False positives cannot be identified
  • Match rate?
  • Last name changes not reported to SSA
  • Proper first name historically not required
  • Exact month/year of birth required
  • SSA data may be outdated, incorrect
