  • Referendum? allows citizens to vote on state laws
    or new state amendment.
  • Ordinance? Local law
  • County Commissioners? Group of elected officials
    that make county laws and budget.
  • Federalism? Where federal and state government
    work together to rule citizens.

  • Extradition? Returning a suspect back to state
    where crime was committed.
  • Full Faith and Credit? States agree to respect
    the decisions and contracts of other states.
  • Republican form of Government? All states are
    required to create a representative democracy.

  • Home Rule? Allows large cities to make their own
    decisions without state interference.

    congress to create laws. (This may not be
    mentioned in the constitution).

    government, also known as representative
    democracy.
  • This is how Article IV insures that the states
    cooperate with each other.
