  • 2006 Conference Summary
  • Positives
  • Attendee feedback again very positive on
    conference experience
  • Continued tradition of strong Technical
    Conference 24 invited papers
  • Very positive feedback on Keynote, Luncheon and
    Panel speakers
  • Will focus on expanding digital content per
    numerous feedback comments
  • Embedded panels were very well attended
  • This resolved a long standing issue with low
    evening panel session attendance
  • Poster sessions continued to be well received.
  • Looking at enhancements (board lights, etc) for
    better viewing.
  • Posters work well with exhibitors. Strong traffic
    in hall. Very high technical energy exchange
  • Will expand to two nights in 2007
  • Negatives
  • Ed session attendance lower than expected
  • Demos (new feature in 2006) were minimal. Will
    offer again in 2007 with more publicity.
  • Experimented with Co-location with Cadence Live-
    neutral results

Moving Forward
  • 2007 committee and program plans in place
  • Kickoff meeting held January 19, 2007
  • Revised some committees to focus on large SOCs
    in addition to standard mixed signal focus
  • Paper solicitation in progress
  • Will require agreement that work is not
    previously or simultaneously published
  • San Jose Location for next 2 years (most likely
    in 2009 also)
  • Requesting AdCom approval for 60,000.00 Advance
    for CICC 2007 (Same as CICC 2006)

Paper Submission Agreement
  • Fact CICC quality depends on showcasing
    original and previously unpublished work
  • Problem Authors submit papers to multiple
    conferences
  • Solution CICC Authors will be asked to agree to
    the following when submitting a paper
  • CICC is devoted to showcasing original and
    previously unpublished technical work.  
  •  
  • The content of this paper will not be placed in
    the public domain before the conference. In
    addition, the content of this paper is not, and
    will not be, concurrently under consideration
    for acceptance by another conference.
  • The CICC Technical Committee from time to time
    monitors submissions to relevant conferences and
    will reject any paper that is submitted to
    another conference.
