  • Getting the most from your data

Retrieving Keiser Chip Data
  • Find the Keiser Chip Reader Icon on your Desktop.
  • Double click on Icon.

  • When you see the message, insert the chip into
    the switch.

  • The Machine Fixed Data screen will appear. This
    shows the users name and the serial number.
  • Choices are Erase, Repair, Save and Done.
  • Only select Erase if you need to reprogram the
    chip. Choose Repair if there are problems with
    the chip and it is not downloading.

  • Choose Save to enter data into your database.
    Choose Done when you have completed the process.
  • If you need to reassign the chip, go to the
    Manage Users button.

Creating Member Files
  • When you are ready to utilize the data you must
    put it into a useable format.
  • Select My Computer from your desk top.
  • Double click on your C drive.

  • Once you have double clicked your C drive, open
    the eChip Folder.

  • Find the .txt file that corresponds with the user
    and right click on it.
  • Now choose the Open With option.

  • Choose Microsoft Excel to open this file.

  • Once you have the file open in Excel go to cell
    1A.
  • Highlight all data within the file.
  • Press the Ctrl key and the C key. (This copies
    the data.)
  • Now close this work sheet.

  • Double click the E-Chip Worksheet.xlt file.
  • (It is within the eChip folder.)
  • Go to cell 2A and Press the Ctrl key and the V
    key. (This will paste the data into the
    worksheet.)

  • Click on the date range.
  • Now click on the sort by ascending order button
    on your tool bar.
  • Click on Machine Range and then sort by ascending
    order.

  • Click on the Chart Wizard on the tool bar.
  • Select which chart you would like to create.
  • (We recommend the 3-D visual effect.)
  • Click next.

  • Click the Series Tab.
  • In the Name section click on the red arrow.
  • Change the cell highlight to resistance or reps
    depending on what info you are going to display.
    (This is the name of the graph.)
  • Click next.

  • In the Values section click on the red arrow.
    (This is the y-axis of the chart.)
  • Choose the cells you wish to display by
    highlighting them.
  • (Example cells B5-B20)
  • Click next.

  • Click on the x Values red arrow.
  • Choose the cell by highlighting the one you want
    to use. (This is the x-axis of the chart.)
  • Click next.

  • You will now have a box with a sample of your
    chart in it.
  • Change the Title to reflect what you want.
    Suggestions are members name or machine name.
  • You can also put a date in the x-axis box.
  • Make sure to name and save as a new sheet.
