toolkit
1. What are EBP projects?
  • Research Seeks to generate new knowledge it is
the systematic investigation of a problem, issue
or question. Its findings may be generalisable
  • Audit Seeks to improve patient outcomes by
ensuring that evidence based standards are
adhered to. It will highlight areas of good
practice and areas where action could be taken to
    improve practice
  • Survey/service evaluation Seeks to establish
the quality of existing practice by collecting
the views of users and/or staff. The findings are
    usually not generalisable.
  • It provides you with practical help. The toolkit
is more than advice, it also has decision making
charts, form filling guidance and directions to
useful contacts, help is out there!
  • The toolkit will help you
  • Nail down the key points
  • Hammer out significant problems
  • Put the spotlight on relevant issues
  • Dig deeply to uncover the genuine situation
  • Measure reliably
  • Get a grip on ethical issues
  • Fit everything together until its JOB DONE
