Brief

• Produce a 'Photographic Essay' exploring a
  subject of your choice, comprising 5-10 images.
  The photographs could be about your life, your
  interests, where you live, something you feel
  strongly about. They could aim to educate,
  entertain, inform or shock. They could span a day
  or a month. Your photo essay could be general
  or specific. You could write about a range of
  aspects of your life, or choose a specific aspect
  to write about. Explore your subject - what do
  you want to communicate to the viewer? What do
  you want him/her to think? What effect do you
  want the photographs to have? remember, the
  photographs must work as a whole - not just
  individual images.
• Your photographs must be displayed on a web
  page, as a Director movie or in the form of a
  QuickTime movie - the choice is yours - in any
  form you think appropriate They could be shown on
  separate pages or as an automated 'slide show'
  (you will be shown ways of doing this).
  Photographs can be black and white or colour. The
  photographs can be accompanied by text if you
  wish.
• Bear in mind the technical constraints imposed
  by displaying your work.
• Don't forget to log your ideas, preparatory work
  etc. on your website. Explain your aims, how you
  planned to achieve them and whether you were
  successful or not.

• Going Home Live 200 miles away travel by car
  through many towns and villages and would make
  some excellent photographs.
• Getting Up Daily routine getting up sounds
  quite simple but could be quite interesting.
  Photos would be easy to understand and would all
  be relative.
• Bonfire night Bonfire night (tonight) may be
  interesting as a sequence of photographs for the
  fireworks. Could also possibly include history of
  guy-fawkes.
• Shopping Always a lot of excitement with the
  build up of Christmas shopping. Late night
  shopping starting soon and lights would look
  great in the photographs.
