3 On 27 February 2001 Miners Health Center was
opened at City Hospital ?25 in Donetsk
- The Center covers 7, 640 miners and
- 11, 860 their family members with its
services - Morbidity profile

- black lung, dust bronchitis, peripheral nervous
system diseases, hearing disorders,
skeleto-muscular system disorders and acute
poisoning with carbon monoxide

- A patient screening questionnaire was developed
- Classification of health care requirements of the
community was worked out - Community Council was created
- Educational programs were developed for the
community - - about hazardous impact of smoking
- - and about injuries at work and at home
- We are working on creating a Learning Resources
Center for patients
