• Areas with most people in receipt of income
  support are similar to areas with high infant
  mortality.

• This may be a coincidence, but top scientists at
  the Governments National Statistics department
  are trying to identify the link.

• At present, they think it is because some babies
  in poorer areas are more susceptible to disease.
