What is JWC?

• Is a non-profit organization who meets once a
  month at 1400 N.Mesa El Paso, Texas
• It was founded in 1934 by Mrs.Sam Watkins,
  president of the Womans Club

Mission Statement

• The purpose of the organization is to support
  charitable undertakings by fostering interest
  among its members in the social,
  educational,cultural and civic activities of
  their community and to actively aid charitable
  causes through volunteer services to the
  community.

Executive Officers

• Treasurer
• Shall receive, hold and pay out any money upon
  warrant from the president, sign checks and
  report money status.
• Recording Secretary
• Shall keep a correct account of all meetings of
  the club and board of directors, keep copy of the
  previous meeting minutes at least one week in
  advance.
• Communication Secretary
• Shall receive and reply to all correspondence as
  requested and report regularly about the replies

Executive Officers

• The board of directors consists of the following
• President
• She shall be a member of all committees, sit
  on the board of directors for the Womans Club,
  sign all binding documents pertaining to the
  organization.
• President-Elect
• Shall fulfill the duties of the president in
  her absence, shall preside at the board meetings.
• Vice-President
• Shall serve as liaison between the board of
  directors and the general membership, keep an
  official list of all club members personal
  information, maintain all internal affairs, ways
  and means and volunteer service committee lists,
  keep attendance records.

• Director at Large
• Shall act in the absence of any member of the
  board of directors, keep updated file containing
  all written annual officer, committee and party
  reports.
• Advisor
• Shall include chairmanship of the nominating,
  advisory, audit and bylaws committees and shall
  serve as the parliamentarian.
• Sponsor
• Shall serve as the liaison between the Womans
  Club and the Junior Womans Club.

• Internal Affairs Committee consists of the

• Hostess
• In charge of the food and details for general
  meetings
• Yearbook
• In charge of designing and creating the clubs
  yearbook
• Hostpitality
• In charge of thank you parties for members
  after accomplishments have been met

Spooktacular Commitee

• What is Spooktacular?
• Spooktacular is one of the main events that The
  Junior Womans Club (JWC) is in charge of. It is
  a childrens carnival designed to provide a save
  trick or treating environment. Is a carnival
  held every year at the Grand Hall Civic Center
  the last weekend of October.

• Schedule members for hours to be volunteer at
  the event
• Booth
• In charge of acquiring companies to buy booths
  at the carnival so companies can sell their
  products.
• Spooktacular Promoter
• In charge of promoting the event

  the craft center for children
• Spooktacular Cakewalk
• In charge of designing, creating activities
  within the cakewalk center

• In charge of acquiring volunteers besides JWC

Future

• As stated before the telephone committee will
  become non existence due to the development of
  the web page and acquisition of e-mails.
• The president elect should be removed. It seems
  to repeat the presidents responsibilities.
  Instead the vice president should take on the
  president elect responsibilities.
• More Spooktacular committees will be added on to
  raise more funds.
