    you can't attend class that day.

Assignments and Grading
  • Programming
  • in-lab one-hour exercise at the beginning of each
    lab period (total nine)
  • four programming assignments (see schedule for
    dates)
  • Exams
  • final exam at scheduled exam time
  • The general model for course work
  • lectures come from UWT
  • questions and discussion come from everywhere
  • assignments and exams will be the same for
    everybody
  • assignments and exams will be graded separately
    at each institution
  • grading policy (percentages, late days, etc.) may
    be different
  • lab sessions, lab support, help sessions, etc.
    will be held separately at each institution

  • More shorter exercises

  • four longer programming assignments less closely
    tied to in-class coding
  • no midterm exams
  • More looking at code and solutions
  • we'll discuss the previous lab exercise every
    Thursday
  • more examples done in class by the class
    (separately at the remote sites)
  • Using BlueJ instead of Textpad (not that you have
    to, but you probably should give it a try)
