ACCSP Goals
- GOAL 1 - Produce complete, timely, and accurate
fishery statistics. - Improve SAFIS or other systems that are not
meeting the vision of efficient, informative,
user-friendly, and reliable systems of collecting
and disbursing data. - Continue to fund/encourage electronic reporting
for catch/effort and other modules - Increase funding to other modules other than
Catch and Effort - Work with/encourage partners that have not
developed ACCSP standards in their fishery data
collection systems.
15- GOAL 2 Increase public and industry confidence
in fishery information. - Continue to encourage partners to promote public
confidence in commercial and recreational data
collection standards and practices (e.g. MRFSS
and SAFIS). - Increase communication structure to promote
ACCSP - GOAL 3 - Develop and maintain active support and
participation by all Program Partners. - Continue to encourage program partners to be
well represented in ACCSP committee meetings
