- Number of AA freshman applications has risen
dramatically. - Number AA accepted and enroll as freshmen is
rising, but much more slowly. - NC State is attractive - yield is comparable to
other groups. - Need focus on sophomore and junior years. more
black students than others leave at these
stages - 6-year graduation rate is still a bit lower
than others, but above the national average. - Number of graduate degrees awarded to African
Americans has remained flat over past 6 years - Number admitted to doctoral programs has
increased 30 since 2002-03. - Faculty losing tenured faculty but gaining
tenure-track faculty in the last two years.
