• The collaboration must not be limited to the
  formation of student
• The quality of scientific research improve a lot
  with the possibility to collaborate with other
  groups

Main problems

• Bad opinion in South America of how European do
  thinks until today
• Not involve in real collaboration
• They are looking mainly for PhD student
• We dont feel that we can obtain funds from CEE
• Extremely bureaucratic
• Little knowledge of how to build a collaboration
• How to apply ? Which are the tools necessary to
  have access to collaboration ?
• Need to understand how to succeed in postulation
  for funds
• Problems in research in neuroscience in South
  America
• Very little epidemiologic study
• Most research in basic sciences
• Very little research in clinical neurosciences

• Problems with CEE and Scientifics community in
  Europe
• They are a lot of scientific that do not apply to
  European funds because they have enough money

What we have learned from Europeans during this
meeting

• Lessons from European scientifics
• Not expect for people from Europe calling for
  people for South America
• Be aggressive in find collaboration partners in
  Europe
• There is money in CEE, especially in neuroscience
  
• Demonstrate that South America could do a real
  contribution
• Best way to be involved in a project is to
  coordinate a project
• Lessons form Spanish
• Do research with CEE allow an important
  improvement of the quality of research in Spain
• The importance of insertion transcend the
  possibility to obtain funds
• Possibility to share knowledge and learning how
  people in other country do research
