High Speed Network Research Needs
Micro-Nanotechnology Consortium
  • Collaborative research efforts with Dept. of
Neurosciences LSUHSC, AMRI at UNO, CAMD at LSU
    and Institute of Micromanufacturing, Louisiana
    Tech.
  • Video Conferencing State-of-the-art
    videoconferencing over high speed network
    infrastructure will enhance collaborative
educational and research efforts in this
    Nationally important area.

High Speed Network Research Needs
High Energy Physics
  • Collaborative research efforts with Fermi
    National Accelerator Facility (FNAL),Thomas
    Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JNAL)
    and LIGO.
  • Real-time Experiment Monitoring Setting-up and
Monitoring progress of experiments at FNAL and
    JNAL by Tech physicists.
  • Data Archiving and Availability Maintaining a
SAM (Sequential data access via Meta-data) data
repository to share real or simulated data
between Institutional Analysis center (IAC) and
    Central/Regional Analysis center (e.g. FNAL).

High Speed Network Research Needs
Biomedical Engineering and Computing
  • Collaborative research efforts with LSUHSC,
    Shreveport and LSUHSC, New Orleans.
  • Real-time data sharing Development of real-time
    biomedical data exchange service for
    collaborative education and research efforts
between health institutions and research centers.
  • Grid Infrastructure development Integrate
Louisiana Tech as a part of Louisiana Biomedical
Research Networks (LBRN) grid network to enhance
    our collaborative research opportunities.
