4THE CONCEPT
- Sub-committee of the CCSSA to represent
interests of CCNs/nurses in SA ICUs - Purpose greater representation of CCNs in 6
regions of CCSSA Constitution (2007) - Additional members to include the 2 elected the
2 co-opted Nurse members of CCSSA Council, viz.
the WFCCN CTG reps. - Legitimate structure
- Objective address CCN matters
- Leadership
- Regional / Provincial / Branch representation
5THE PROCESS
- Concept of a nursing sub-structure of the CCSSA
proposed in 2006 - Accepted initiated at June 2007 CCSSA Council
meeting - Inaugural meeting of group held Aug. 2007 at
CCSSA Congress - Presentation to Congress Aug. 2007
- Follow-up meeting held Dec. 2007 at CCSSA
Refresher Course in. P. E. - Proposal nomination form submitted for postage
to members in Dec. 2007 - Strategic Planning Workshop organised for Feb.
2008, Cape Town - Planning meetings April June 2008, JHB.
