MESSAGE WAITING The RED Light above the NORTEL
NETWORKS name, will indicate you have a new
voicemail message. To access these messages, get
intercom dial tone then press the Message key on
the bottom row of your phone or lift your handset
and dial 1400. Follow the voicemail instructions
provided separately for operation of the
voicemail system. LAST NUMBER REDIAL Allows you
to redial the last number just dialed. Either
lift the handset and press your extension number
or without lifting the handset, press the
extension key twice. This will activate the Last
Number Redial feature. FUNCTION
KEYS TRANSFER While on a call, press the key
under the word TRANS, dial the number to be
transferred to. Press CONNECT to complete. (You
may also announce the call then press
CONNECT. CONFERENCE- 6 WAY While on a call, press
the button under the word CONF, (This puts the
first caller on hold and gives you intercom dial
tone.), dial 9 number, or the extension number
of the next person. When new caller answers,
press CONNECT button again to add the first
caller in. All parties are now connected. You
can add up to 5 other callers besides
yourself. CALL FORWARD With the handset on hook,
press the button under the word FORWARD and dial
the four digit number you wish to forward your
calls to. Press DONE to complete. To edit the
number or enter new number press CHECKFW and
follow the prompts.
PRIMARY EXTENSION/SECONDARY EXT Your primary
extension is assigned to the green key on
the right hand side of your telephone. When you
pick up the handset, your primary extension is
automatically activated. LCD INDICATOR A steady
Phone or Half Phone Shape indicator means the
extension or feature beside it is active. A
Flashing Indicator Shape means the line is on
hold, phone is ringing or the feature is being
programmed. RELEASE The Goodbye key can be used
to terminate a phone call. It is especially
useful for disconnecting Hands Free
calls. HOLD Press the Hold key to put an active
call on hold. Return to the caller by pressing
the extension key next to the flashing
indicator. VOLUME BAR Use the Volume Control
Bar located just under the dial pad to control
the volume of the handset, speaker and ringer.
Raise and lower the volume by pressing the right
and left sides of the bar. Mute HANDS FREE To
place a HANDS FREE call With handset down,
press your extension key, then dial the number.
To mute the conversation, so you can not be
heard, press the MUTE key, located under the
Volume Bar, once to activate. The little red
LED next to the key will flash to let you know
you are in the MUTE mode. Pressing the Mute key
again will return you to the normal HANDS FREE
conversation mode. If you are active on a handset
call and wish to change to HANDS FREE mode,
simply press the round green button to the left
of the handset. Place the handset back into the
cradle. You are now in the Hands Free Mode.
Anytime you wish to establish a handset
conversation again, lift your handset and begin
speaking.
To cancel Call Forward, press the CHECKFW Press
CANCEL key. Your display will indicate that
forwarding has been cancelled. CALL PARK While on
a call press the PARK key on the bottom row to
display the next available Park number. Pressing
OK will PARK the caller onto the number
displayed. (Park Assignment) To retrieve the
call, you must get intercom dial tone from any
phone in the phone system and dial the number
(Park Assignment) that was initially displayed.
GROUP CALL PICKUP To answer an extension ringing
near you, lift the handset press the PICKUP
button. You are now connected to the caller. (To
use this feature the other phone must be part of
your pickup group) SYSTEM SPEED LIST To use the
stored numbers, lift the receiver or press your
extension button to get dial tone. Press the
SSUser button and the bin number of the stored
number you wish to call. (These will be supplied
by your administrator) AUTO DIAL LINE There is a
single number store bin available on your phone
as well. If you do not see the AUTODIAL button
use the Shift button to show the AUTODIAL key on
the display. To program, you press the key
without lifting the handset, and dial a number as
you normally would. Pressing the key a second
time will store the number. To use the stored
number, select an available extension number and
press the AUTODIAL button once. The stored
number will be displayed as it dials out. RING
AGAIN To be used internally only when you
receive a busy signal or no answer from a phone
you have called, press the RING AGAIN key. The
screen will display RING AGAIN ACTIVE . When
the number you want to reach is available, or the
person has re-used their set, you will hear the
RING AGAIN tone. Lift your handset, or press a
DN key, and press the RNGCALL key. To Canel
press the CANCLRA key. The display will show
RING AGAIN CANCELLED.

OPTION LIST To use the Options for your set,
press the Options key located on the bottom row
of buttons. Other keys you will need to use are
the four directional arrow keys under the display
window, the. four keys located directly under the
display and the Quit key. The four keys under the
display will change to DELETE, CLEAR, CASE,
SELECT, ON, OFF, etc as the system requires to
complete an Options choice. Use them to correct
mistakes along with the arrow keys to move about
the display. Once you have completed your Option
changes remember to press the DONE key to
complete. Rename a line key Press the Options
key once, press the down arrow key until the line
Change feature key label is highlighted. Press
the button under the word SELECT twice. Now
press the key. You may have to Press SHIFT to
locate the key you want to change. By pressing
the dial pad keys you can spell the name For
Example Page, (Press the 7 once, then the rt
arrow, the 2 once,then the right arrow, the 4
once then the rt arrow and the 3 twice.) As you
press the numbers you will see the letter appear
in the display. Press DONE to complete. You can
repeat the steps above to change other key
labels. Group Listen To turn the feature on
Press the Options button, press the up arrow key
to highlight the Group listening control line.
Now press SELECT button and then ON key. To
complete simple press the DONE key and then
Quit. Activate the feature by pressing the Green
HANDS FREE button once while talking on your
handset. The Red LED next to the Green HANDS
FREE button will flash slowly, this indicates you
are in the Group Listen mode. Pressing the Green
HANDS FREE button again will turn on HANDS FREE
fully. A third press of the Green HANDS FREE
button will put the caller back through the
handset only. To turn the feature off Press the
Options button, press the up arrow key to
highlight the Group listening control line.
Press SELECT button and then OFF key. To
complete, press the DONE key and then Quit.
