Media Provides Nutrients for Bacteria

• Nutrient broth liquid media (trypticase soy
  broth, TSB)
• Nutrient agar solid media (trypticase soy agar,
  TSA)
• Agar slants (tubes)
• Agar plates
• Agar polysaccharide isolated from red algae
• Solid at room temp (25oC)
• Liquid at 100oC
• Provides framework to hold moisture nutrients
