• Our thermographers are highly trained and

• by the Infrared Training Centre (ITC). They are
• trained in radiation science, thermal science,
• inspection routines, analysis techniques, camera
• handling and diverse applications of the
  technology.
• Our operators have an extensive understanding of
• heat, temperature, and heat transfer which aids
  in
• the analysis of the thermal images produced by
  the
• highly specialized thermal imaging camera.
• It takes significant skill to execute a thermal
  scan,
• analyze the thermogram produced, and provide the
• client with a diagnosis and recommended course of
• corrective action.

Picture worth a thousand words
The side of this house appears very normal in the
visible image. However, the IR image reveals a
warm spot between the first and second floor.
Further investigation revealed that the vent for
the downstairs bathroom had been covered by the
contractor who installed vinyl siding and forgot
to reinstall the vent duct. The presence of
moisture inside the walls greatly increases the
potential for mold and mildew damage.

connections as the materials have aged.
